I do not know why when I read the pages of Joshua I feel as though I’ve been plugged in to an electrical outlet. Everything inside me comes awake and is ready to journey with the Israelites as they conquer their Promised Land.
If it seems I am partial to this particular book of the Bible-I 100%, without a doubt-am.
Why-you ask? Because within this book of the Bible, Jesus met me during the darkest night of my soul. The words of these pages marked me and changed me and brought me closer to Jesus than I had previously thought possible.
This week when I opened the words of Joshua I saw God’s constant counsel to him through all of the battles he lead. He gave specific strategies to defeat their enemies. The thought occurred to me that in our prayer life, we can pray and ask our Wonderful Counselor for specific prayer strategies for any of the circumstances we are experiencing in our lives and relationships.
Our discussions and conversations about God’s Word enriches my understanding. Please share what God is showing you in the pages of Joshua.
