This week as we are reading the pages of the best book ever written, the attribute we are focusing on is the faithfulness of God. As I read the chapters in Genesis, His faithfulness jumped off the pages in the lives of Jacob, Rachel and Leah. I thought His reaffirmation to Jacob in his dream about the covenant He made with Jacob's grandfather Abraham, was a beautiful reminder that He keeps His promises throughout generations. As He guided Jacob to Laban's home, He faithfully provided a wife for Jacob. Even in Laban's deciet of Jacob's marriage to Leah, God proved faithful to her and blessed her with many children. When Jacob finally married Rachel, the one Jacob loved the most, God also faithfully remembered her and gave her a son. Jacob was prosperous even in the midst of Laban's jealousy. As he tried to escape, God proved faithful yet again by warning Laban to not harm Jacob.

Has God given you any promises you have been holding fast to? Allow His faithfulness in Genesis to reaffirm what He has spoken to you. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
